The next edition of Texcare International, which will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 20th to 24th June 2020, is still roughly a year away. But preparations are already well under way as the world’s most important trade show for textile care supplies is a huge event that brings together industry leaders. Due to the many reservations, exhibition space will again be increased. In 2016, Texcare Internation occupied halls 8 and 9 of Frankfurt’s exhibition centre. For its coming edition, the trade show plans to create a bigger platform for digitalisation issues.
Digitalisation is driving innovation: “Digitalisation is already widespread in the textile care sector, especially when it comes to logistics processes. Accordingly, the industry will present numerous innovations that go a step further and take account of the demands of the smart factory at next June’s Texcare International,” says Elgar Straub, managing director of engineering association VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies. Intelligent textiles and machines are already able to communicate. The transition from digital to smart solutions is a decisive step for the textile care industry. New business models are emerging for cooperation between laundries and their customers, with online shops and apps becoming ever more important. In addition, transformation processes like e-learning are facilitating training and professional development in the textile care supplies sector.
As a pioneer for modern textile care Texcare International offers not only innovative products, but also an exciting trade show programme. The Texcare Forum has been created by German Textile Laundry Association Deutscher Textilreinigungsverband -DTV together with VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies and other partners. Messe Frankfurt organises a large variety of trade shows for textile care supplies worldwide, such as Clean Show in the USA, Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo in Shanghai, Gulf Laundrex in Dubai and JET Expo in Paris.
