November 2019
Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the world with more than 88 million passengers per year arriving and leaving the largest city in the UAE this way. The airport's 90,000 employees play a vital role in these activities. They all need workwear – clothing that has to be cleaned with care and efficiently. Dubai International Airport, Dubai Police and many others sought – and found – solutions at Middle East Cleaning Technology Week in Dubai from 15–17 October.
In addition to the local airport, other experts like Marriott Hotels and Emaar Properties Dubai also shared insights into the cleaning industry. Topics including the automation and digitalization of the industry were discussed at the three conferences Gulf Laundrex, Facility Management Conference and Cleaning Conference.
The fifth edition of Middle East Cleaning Technology Week attracted more than 3,000 visitors from 78 countries – a seven per cent increase in YOY visitor attendance – and 53 exhibitors, among them Kärcher from Deutschland, Rez Hygiene from Switzerland and Delt from Croatia. The next edition of the trade show will be held from 10–12 November 2020, again at the Dubai World Trade Center.
